C4EO - work themes: introduction

C4EO aims to help achieve the outcomes for children and young people defined in Every Child Matters.

In its first three years, C4EO will focus on six themes, reflecting areas where greater progress is needed:

• Early Years
• Disability
• Vulnerable Children (particularly children in care)
• Parents, Carers and Families
• Youth
• Schools and Communities

C4EO will also work on the Cross-Cutting Review of Poverty.

Each theme will have three priorities, or key lines of enquiry. These have been decided for the first three themes (Early Years, Disability and Vulnerable Children).

Theme leads will coordinate their findings, so that all themes share knowledge and advice, and any cross-cutting issues can be highlighted.
