Data Specialists required to help improve outcomes for children and young people

C4EO is recruiting professionals (Data Specialists) from across the children and young people’s sector who can demonstrate expertise and a track record of achievement in interpreting and implementing data to help develop Children and Young People’s plans in local authorities.

The ADCS has given its support to the C4EO Data Specialist model and directors are asked to consider encouraging staff to apply. It would also be appreciated if these opportunities could be shared with Children’s Trust partners and Local Strategic Partnerships who may also be interested in supporting or receiving assistance from the scheme.

Becoming a Data Specialist is a rewarding and developmental experience. Successful applicants are trained to use the data C4EO has collected regarding the theme areas. This knowledge, combined with that of Sector Specialists, will be used to deliver individually tailored support as requested by Directors of Children’s Services to help local authorities and Children’s Trusts develop solutions to challenges and improve outcomes for children and young people.

With the endorsement of their director or chief executive, successful applicants will be trained and accredited by C4EO and receive support throughout their period of work with the centre. In return, it is typically requested that the individual is released to work for the centre for about 25 days over an 12 month period. Backfill funding is available for the ‘loaning’ organisation, which may also choose to receive help from one or more Sector Specialists.

For information about Data Specialist roles and how to apply, visit the Sector Specialists section of the website.
