Join the online discussion today!
The latest Hotseat of the Vulnerable (Looked After Children CoP) with Isabelle Brodie
is titled Virtual Head Teachers, Virtual Schools and Educational Support for Looked
After Children and Young People. In the week beginning the 5th December, Isabelle
will be coming online to answer questions and lead the discussion around this key
debate.
Please read Isabelle’s introductory article (28Kb PDF file, 2 pages)
in which she invites you to join in the discussion, centered around 3 questions
- (If you have one) what has been the impact of having a Virtual School Head and/or
a looked after children’s education service in your area?
- What has been learned from the development of virtual schools/virtual school heads
and support teams? How does practice still need to change? How are we responding
to the views of children, young people and their carers?
- To what extent has good practice in your area been developed in relation to specific
groups – for example, looked after children in the early years, those making the
transition from primary to secondary school, and care leavers?

After) Children Community of Practice discussion.
