Knowledge Workshops

Knowledge Knowledge Workshops are a key element of C4EO's strategy to build capacity for improvement within children's services. They are an important means of sharing the evidence base we have assembled so far and debating what this knowledge means for strategic service development. Knowledge Workshops will also introduce tools and approaches that can help those responsible for services for children and their families to use this knowledge to deliver local outcome improvement. A series of Knowledge Workshops will be held for each region on each theme around the country. These events will provide:

  • a better understanding about what data can tell us about outcomes for children and families nationally, and the contribution of different regions to these results
  • an overview of the best available research relating to each theme
  • productive debate about the key challenges and issues involved in putting this knowledge into practice examples of effective local practice
  • information about new resources, tools and approaches that can support local outcome improvement work
  • an overview of the practical support to use these resources, tools and approaches which is available for free from C4EO, and how to access it.

Excellence and Evidence - Making the Difference 2010 Events

Excellence and Evidence - Making the Difference. Learning from across all themes, and updated Knowledge Reviews will be shared at a series of national conferences in June 2010. These large scale innovative learning events for managers and leaders across Children’s Trusts, will eschew the traditional static approach. In hosting Excellence and Evidence - Making the Difference, C4EO brings together the best available evidence relating to a broad range of issues and enables delegates to explore them in the context of the fundamental issues facing the sector today – such as Early Intervention; Value for Money; Integration; etc.

These collaborative events These collaborative events will benefit from a varied menu of seminars delivered by key improvement support partners and other expert bodies, to ensure that there are a broad range of learning opportunities regardless of specialism or service background. This ‘all under one roof’ approach reflects C4EO’s awareness colleagues within the sector cannot attend a multitude of conferences in the current financial climate. Delegates will create their own programme as they visit workshops of their choice – allowing them the freedom to explore particular issues and network constructively, rather than having their learning prescribed. This is demonstrative of our sector-led ethos, and respects the diverse expertise held by our colleagues in the sector.

Booking links will be issued in March – to register your interest please contact c4eobookings@rip.org.uk stating Excellence and Evidence - Making the Difference 2010 in the subject line, and detailing your job title and organisation.
